1. Citation

This Order may be cited as the Kenya Union of Special and Professional Guards (Deduction of Union Dues) Order, 2024.

2. Deduction

An employer who employs more than five members of the Kenya Union of Special and Professional Guards shall—
(a)deduct, on a monthly basis, the sum specified in the Schedule in respect of trade union dues from the wages of an employee who is a member of the Kenya Union of Special and Professional Guards;
(b)remit within ten days of the date of deduction, the sums deducted under paragraph (a) by crossed cheque or electronic fund transfer payable to Kenya Union of Special and Professional Guards account number 10021211000018 at Consolidated Bank of Kenya Limited, Harambee Avenue Branch, Nairobi;
(c)commence deduction within thirty days of receiving this Order;
(d)notify the trade union, in writing, within one month of the payment; and
(e)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at P.O. Box 40326-00100, Nairobi, within one month of making all the payments to the union.

SCHEDULE

A sum equal to two hundred and fifty shillings.
