Citation1. This Order may be cited as the Declaration of Disturbed and Dangerous Areas (Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo, West Pokot, Samburu and Laikipia Counties) Extension Order, No. 7 of 2023.Application2. This Extended Order shall apply in the following specified areas in Turkana, Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo, West Pokot, Samburu and Laikipia Counties.1. TURKANA COUNTY–Turkana South and Turkana East Sub-counties (Loima Sub-county is exempted)2. WEST POKOT COUNTY–Pokot North and Sigor Subcounties (along the River Turkwel Escarpment)3. ELGEYO MARAKWET COUNTY — Marakwet East and Marakwet West Sub-counties4. BARINGO COUNTY — Mukutani, Muchongoi, Bartabwa, Tiaty East and Tiaty West Sub-counties5. LAIKIPIA COUNTY — Olmoran, Ng’arua, Mukogodo and Sipili Divisions6. SAMBURU COUNTY — Loroki, Baragoi, Wamba (except Wamba Town) and Malaso Divisions (except Suguta Marmar Town)Declaration Period3. This Extended Order shall apply during the hours of darkness between Six O’clock in the evening and Six O’clock in the morning with effect from the 17th July, 2023 and shall remain in effect for a period of thirty (30) days.Restriction4. Under this Extended Order, there shall be no public gatherings, processions or movement, either alone or as a group during the period of the curfew except as has been permitted in writing by the Inspector–General of the National Police Service.
