1.This Order may be cited as the Union of National Research and Allied Institutes Staff of Kenya (Deduction of Trade Union Dues) Order.
2.An employer who employs more than five employees belonging to the Union of National Research and Allied Institutes Staff of Kenya shall—
(a)deduct, on a monthly basis, the sum specified in the Schedule in respect of trade union dues from the wages of an employee who is a member of the Union of National Research and Allied Institutes Staff of Kenya;
(b)remit, within ten days of the date of deduction, the sums deducted under paragraph (a) by crossed cheque or electronic funds transfer payable to the Union of National Research and Allied Institutes Staff of Kenya, account number, 234793836 at Kenya Commercial Bank, Moi Avenue Branch, Nairobi;
(c)commence deducting the trade union dues within thirty days of being served with this Order by the trade union;
(d)notify the trade union, in writing, within one month of the payment;
(e)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at P.O. Box 40326-00100, Nairobi, within one month of making all the payments to the trade union.
3.Gazette Notice No. 1270 of 2011 is revoked.

SCHEDULE

A sum equal to two percent of the gross salary of a member of the trade union but subject to a minimum of five hundred and fifty shillings and a maximum of one thousand eight hundred and fifty shillings.
