1. Citation

This Order may be cited as the Kenya Union of Nutritionists and Dieticians (Deduction of Trade Union Dues) Order.

2. Deduction

An employer who employs more than five members of the Kenya Union of Nutritionists and Dieticians shall-
(a)deduct, on a monthly basis, the sum specified in the Schedule in respect of trade union dues from the wages of each employee who is a member of the Kenya Union of Nutritionists and Dieticians;
(b)commence deduction of the trade union dues within thirty days of being served with this Order by the trade union;
(c)remit within ten days of the date of deduction, the sums deducted under paragraph (a) by crossed cheque or electronic fund transfer payable to Kenya Union of Nutritionists and Dieticians (KUNAD) account number 1285500547 at Kenya Commercial Bank, Kimathi Street Branch, Nairobi;
(d)notify the trade union, in writing, within one month of the payment;
(e)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at P.O. Box 40326-00100, Nairobi, within one month of making all the payments to the union.

SCHEDULE

SUM DEDUCTIBLE

A sum equal to two percent of the monthly basic wages of an employee but subject to a minimum of two hundred shillings.
