1.CitationThis Order may be cited as the Kenya National Union of Breakdowns Recovery, Commuters and Freight Agency Workers (Deduction of Trade Union Dues) Order.
2.DeductionAn Employer who employs more than five members of the Kenya National Union of Breakdowns Recovery, Commuters and Freight Agency Workers shall-
(a)deduct the sum specified in the Schedule in respect of trade union dues from the wages of each employee who is a member of the Kenya National Union of Breakdowns Recovery, Commuters and Freight Agency Workers;
(b)commence deduction of the trade union dues within thirty days of being served with this Order by the Union;
(c)remit, within ten days, the sums deducted under paragraph (a) by crossed cheque or electronic fund transfer payable to Kenya National Union of Breakdowns Recovery, Commuters and Freight Agency Workers (KNUBCAFAW) account number 2045712411 at Absa Bank, Harambee Avenue Branch, Nairobi;
(d)notify the trade union, in writing, within one month of the payment; and
(e)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at P.O. Box 40326-00100, Nairobi, within one month of making all the payments to the Union.

SCHEDULE

SUM DEDUCTIBLE

A sum equal to two percent of the basic monthly wages of an employee.
