1.This Order may be cited as the Kenya National Union of Nurses (Deduction of Union Dues) Order.
2.An employer who employs more than five members of the Kenya National Union of Nurses shall—
(a)deduct, on a monthly basis, a sum of one thousand shillings from the wages of an employee who is a member of the Kenya National Union of Nurses, in respect of the trade union dues of the member;
(b)remit, within ten days of the date of the deduction, by crossed cheque or electronic funds transfer the sum deducted under subparagraph (a) to Kenya National Union of Nurses' account number 01120309515200 held at Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited, Aga Khan Walk Branch, Nairobi;
(c)commence deducting the sum deducted under subparagraph (a) within thirty days of being served with this Order by the Kenya National Union of Nurses;
(d)notify the Kenya National Union of Nurses in writing within one month of remitting the sum deducted under subparagraph (a) in accordance with subparagraph (b); and
(e)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at post office box number 40326-00100, Nairobi within one month of remitting all the sums deducted under subparagraph (a) in accordance with subparagraph (b).
3.The Kenya National Union of Nurses Deduction of Union Dues Order, 2018 (L.N. 160/2018) is revoked.
