1.This Order may be cited as the Kenya Union of Secondary Schools Non-Teaching Staff (Deduction of Union Dues) Order.
2.An employer who employs more than five members of the Kenya Union of Secondary Schools Non-Teaching Staff shall—
(a)deduct, on a monthly basis, a sum equal to two percent of the basic wages of an employee who is a member of the Kenya Union of Secondary Schools Non-Teaching Staff, in respect of the trade union dues of the member;
(b)remit, within ten days of the date of deduction, the sums deducted under subparagraph (a) by crossed cheque or electronic funds transfer to Kenya Union of Secondary Schools Non-Teaching Staff's account number 00296940005 held at Bank of Africa Limited, Gigiri Branch, Nairobi;
(c)commence deducting the sum deducted under subparagraph (a) within thirty days of being served with this Order by the Kenya Union of Secondary Schools Non-Teaching Staff;
(d)notify the Kenya Union of Secondary Schools Non-Teaching Staff in writing within one month of remitting the sum deducted under subparagraph (a) in accordance with subparagraph (b); and
(e)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at post office box number 40326-00100, Nairobi within one month of remitting all the sums deducted under subparagraph (a) in accordance with subparagraph (b).
