1. Citation
These Rules may be cited as the Public Health (COVID-19 Sale of Alcoholic Drinks) Rules.2. Interpretation
In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires —"alcoholic drink" has the meaning assigned to it in the Alcoholic Drinks Control Act (Cap. 121); and"COVID-19" means an infectious disease caused by Coronavirus.3. Prohibition of sale of alcoholic drinks in some business establishments
4. Sale of alcoholic drinks in wines and spirits shops and supermarkets
5. Consumption of alcoholic drinks in public places
6. Penalty
A person who commits an offence under these Rules shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand shillings or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or both.7. Enforcement
These Rules shall be enforced by the National and County Governments as the respective health authorities in line with the provisions of the Public Health Act (Cap. 242).8. [Spent]
