The Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection makes the following order—
1.This Order may be cited as the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers Deduction of Union Dues order.
2.An employer who employs more than five employees belonging to the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers shall—
(a)deduct, on a monthly basis, the sum specified in the in respect of trade union dues from the wages of an employee who is a member of the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers;
(b)pay, within thirty days of the date of deduction, by crossed cheque or electronic transfer the sum specified in the deducted under paragraph (a) payable to the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers, account number 01100188772600, Cooperative Bank of Kenya,Haile Selassie Avenue Branch, P.O. Box 79418-00200,Nairobi;
(c)notify the Kenya Union of Special Needs EducationTeachers, in writing, within one month of the payment; and
(d)file returns with the Registrar of Trade Unions at P.O. Box 4036-00100, Nairobi within one month of making all payments to the Union.
3.Legal Notice No. 54 of 2014 (L.N. 54/2014) is revoked.

SCHEDULE

SUM DEDUCTIBLE

A sum equal to 1.45 per centum of the basic wage of an employee who is a member of the Union.
