1.This Order may be cited as the Privileges and Immunities (Japan International Co-operation Agency) Order.
2.The Japan International Co-operation Agency, in this Order referred to as "the Agency", being an independent governmental agency of Japan that aims at promoting international cooperation and global development through development assistance, is hereby declared to be an organization to which section 11 of the Act shall apply.
3.The Agency shall have the privileges in paragraphs 3, 4 and 5 of Part 1 of the Fourth Schedule to the Act.
4.Any person who is an employee of the Agency shall, while residing in Kenya and performing duties in the service of the Agency, have the privileges and immunities specified in paragraphs 1 to 7 of Part III of the Fourth Schedule to the Act:Provided that the provisions of this paragraph shall not apply to citizens of Kenya or to citizens or nationals of any country or to any person who is ordinarily resident in Kenya except solely for the purpose of being an employee of, and working exclusively for, the Agency.
