1.This Order may be cited as the Public Order (Curfew) (Tana River, Tana North and Tana Delta Districts) Order, 2012, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 11th September, 2012.
2.This Order shall apply to all that area comprised in the Tana River, Tana North and Tana Delta Districts of the Republic of Kenya (hereinafter referred to as "the specified area").
3.This Order shall apply during the hours of darkness, viz the period between half-past six in the evening and half-past six on the following morning for a period of one month.
4.Under this Order, the following directives shall apply—
(a)no public gathering or procession shall have more than five persons;
(b)no person not ordinarily resident in the specified area shall be or remain therein during the hours specified in paragraph 3 unless—
(i)the person in the Kenya Defence Forces, the Kenya Police Service or the Administration Police Service;
(ii)the person has written permission from the District Commissioner, the District Officer or the officer commanding the Police unit in the respective area;
(c)no person shall, without lawful excuse, possess or carry any offensive weapon.
