THE PROTECTED AREAS ORDER, 2011

1.This Order may be cited as the Protected Areas Order.
2.The areas, places or premises described in the Schedule are declared to be protected areas for purposes of the Act and no person shall be in the areas without permission of the prescribed authority or the Cabinet Secretary of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security.
3.For the purpose of this Order, the prescribed authority shall be—
(i)in respect of the protected areas described in the First Schedule, the Chief Operations Manager of the refinery; and
(ii)in respect of the areas described in the Second Schedule, the Managing Director, Kenya Pipeline Company.

The Kenya Petroleum Refineries at Changamwe, the Moi International Airport depot, and petroleum depots along Changamwe, Shimanzi and Kisimayu road circuit in Mombasa more particularly known as—
