1.This Order may be cited as the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (Imposition of Levy) Order, 2006.
2.There shall be imposed on every 1,000 litres of the petroleum fuel specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto which is entered for home use, the levy specified in relation thereto in the second column:Provided that the levy shall not apply to petroleum fuels in the first column of the Schedule purchased by the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) and supplied for the generation of electricity to Messrs. Aggreko International Projects Limited, contracted under the Government of Kenya funded Emergency Power Supply Project before 31st December, 2007.
3.The Road Maintenance Levy Fund (Imposition of Levy) Order, 2000 is revoked.
4.This Order shall be deemed to have come into effect on 1st May, 2006.
