COMMENCEMENT

1.This Order may be cited as the Revision of the Laws Order, 1984.
2.The first part of the Fourteenth Annual Supplement to the Laws of Kenya prepared under section 7 of the Act shall come into force on the 1st November, 1984.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF SUPPLEMENT

1.The supplement is the first supplement to be produced in 1984 and comprises the following revised booklets—
(a)the First Booklet of the Customs and Excise Act (Cap. 472) which contains the Act and subsidiary legislation made thereunder; and
(b)the Second Booklet of the Customs and Excise Act which contains the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Schedule to the Act which set out the rates of import duty, suspended duty, export duty and excise duty and, in case of the Third Schedule, exemptions from duty.
2.The new booklets should be inserted in Volume XIII of the Laws of Kenya and the old First and Second Booklets of Chapter 472 should be removed and restored for future reference.
3.The Government Printer will issue the first part of the 1984 supplement to persons not entitled to free copies at a total cost of Sh. 270.
