(a)check that the contents of the thirteen volumes tally with the 1982 edition of the table of contents supplied as part of the 1982 supplement (the actual chapters in each individual volume should be as nearly as possible within the range of chapter numbers specified on the card printed on the spine);
(b)any chapters not specified in the 1982 edition of the table of contents will be found to contain laws which have been repealed or replaced, have become spent or have been republished under a new chapter number, and should accordingly be removed from the volumes;
(c)once the Chapters have been checked against the table of contents reference should then be made to the index to check that each Chapter is the latest, and therefore the current, edition; the year of last revision is printed in the third column of Part I of the index.
5.Where Chapters are found to be missing, or to be outdated editions, replacements should be ordered from the Government Printer.
