THE LAWS OF KENYA (REVISION) ORDER

LEGAL NOTICE 138 OF 1977

1. This Order may be cited as the Laws of Kenya (Revision) Order, 1977.2. The Seventh Annual Supplement to the Laws of Kenya, prepared by me in the year 1976 shall come into force on the 1st July, 1977.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF NEW SUPPLEMENT

The Seventh Annual Supplement comprises the following new booklets—(a) 16 entirely new Chapters, namely Nos. 5, 33, 173, 186, 226, 312, 326, 356, 371, 376, 470*, 476, 482, 493, 493A and 496;(*Note.-Cap. 470 has an orange coloured outer cover.)(b) 22 revised Chapters, namely Not 23, 42, 76, 80, 90, 91, 107, 195, 255, 257, 283, 284, 300, 321, 345, 379, 413, 415, 416, 422, 461 and 499;(c) a revised Table of Contents (including a separate table omitted Acts); and(d) revised Indexes, including a complete noter up of the laws as at 1st January, 1977.The new booklets and the Table of Contents should be inserted in the appropriate volumes. The revised Indexes can most conveniently be kept separately for reference purposes or can alternatively be placed at the beginning of Volume 1.Before the new booklets are inserted, the following booklets should be removed (and stored for future reference)—(a) Chapters 23, 33, 42, 76, 80, 90, 91, 107, 164, 186, 195, 255, 257, 283, 284, 300, 321, 326, 345, 379, 401, 413, 415, 416, 422, 461, 470, 482, 493, 496 and 499; and(b) the old Table of Contents and Indexes, if they have been inserted.These are the booklets, etc., which are superseded by the new ones, or of which the contents have been repealed and not been re-enacted or, in the case of the old Cap. 493, is now an omitted Act.The Government Printer will supply a complete copy of the 1977 Supplement, to persons not entitled to free copies, at a total cost of one thousand, three hundred and eighty-four shillings (Sh. 1,384).
