(1)With effect from the 27th day of July, 1971, the minimum cash deposit in respect of hire-purchase agreements relating to the purchase of new private motor-cars, imported furniture, carpets and electrical household equipment shall be 40 per cent of the cash price as required under section 6(1) of the Hire-Purchase Act (Cap. 507).
