THE RENT RESTRICTION (APPEALS) RULES, 1969

1.These Rules may be cited as the Rent Restriction (Appeals) Rules.
2.An appeal brought under section 8 (2) of the Act shall be filed within a period of fifteen days from the date of the decision, determination or order appealed against, excluding from that period any time which the tribunal may certify as having been requisite for the preparation and delivery to the appellant of a copy of the decision, determination or order:Provided that the appellate court may admit the appeal out of time if it is satisfied that the appellant had good and sufficient cause for not filing the appeal in time.
3.The Civil Procedure Rules (Cap. 21, Sub. Leg) shall, mutatis mutandis, apply in respect of the procedure to be followed in an appeal under section 8 (2) of the Act as they apply in respect of an appeal from a subordinate court to the High Court.
