[L.N. 27/1967.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs hereby declares that that part of Kamiti Prison* in the Nairobi Area which is situated directly to the south of the dam, and having its northern boundary bordering the dam and its eastern boundary bordering the Gate Lodge-Farm road, and comprising of an area of about six acres, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act.[L.N. 89/1967.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs hereby declares that area situated approximately two miles north-east of Naivasha Township in the Nakuru District, Rift Valley Province, on the right-hand side of Naivasha Kinangop Road and comprising of one hundred and fifty-four acres, having the existing Somali Settlement immediately to the left-hand side, which has a gradual slope of 6,346 feet to 6,390 feet rising steeply to 6,450 feet from this point, to be a prison for the purposes of the Act.
