IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 22 (4) of the Central Bank of Kenya Act (Cap. 491) the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, on the recommendation of the Central Bank of Kenya, hereby determines that notes issued by the East African Currency Board shall, in addition to notes issued by the Central Bank of Kenya, remain legal tender in Kenya for one year commencing from the start of the exchange of the notes issued by the East African Currency Board into Kenya currency.
