[L.N. 243/1964.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90)and in pursuance of a direction* issued under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs hereby declares that the Kara’ba Camp in the Kirinyaga District, Central Region, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act.[L.N. 283/1964.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a direction* issued under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs hereby declares that the camp buildings at Thibat in the Kirinyaga District, Central Region, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act.[L.N. 41/1965.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90), the Minister for Home Affairs hereby declares that the camp buildings at Nandi Hills* in the Nandi District, Rift Valley Region, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act.[L.N. 312/1965.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs hereby declares that the former Admiralty Radio Station at Shimo-la-Tewa in the Mombasa District, Coast Province, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act with effect from the 1st December 1965.[L.N. 306/1968.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs hereby declares that the prison buildings situated at Mweru in the Nyeri District, Central Province, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act, with effect from 26th September, 1968.[L.N. 33/1969.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs hereby declares that the prison at Kirinyaga in the Kirinyaga District shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act.[L.N. 34/1969.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs hereby declares that the prison at Kikuyu in the Kiambu District, Central Province, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act with effect from the 1st day of February 1969.[L.N. 96/1969.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President’s Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, hereby declares that Kabianga Prison in the Kericho District, Rift Valley Province, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act with effect from the 1st day of April 1969.[L.N. 104/1969.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, hereby declares that the prison building at Kapenguria in the West Pokot District, Rift Valley Province, shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act with effect from the 1st day of April 1969.[L.N. 136/1969.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, hereby declares that the prison camp at Meru in the Meru District, Eastern Province, shall cease to be a prison for the purpose of the Act with effect from the 1st day of May 1969.[L.N. 222/1969.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, hereby declares that the prison at Kandongu in the Kerugoya District. Central Province shall cease to be a prison for the purposes of the Act with effect from 29th day of September, 1969.[L.N. 114/1975.]In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Prisons Act (Cap. 90) and in pursuance of a delegation* made under section 38(1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act (Cap. 2), the Permanent Secretary, Vice-President's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, hereby declares that the remand prison buildings at Kisumu shall cease to be a prison for the purpose of the Act.
